A: Re-anesthetized and was able to get full reduction in elbow today with swelling slightly reduced. Soft tissue on ventral wing looks compromised, may die off. Elbow at risk for reluxatating so need to keep in wrap for longer than typical.
P: Monitor wing wrap, if possible do not change in for 7d to help prevent elbow from re-luxating. Perform laser therapy SID for the next few days.

Got okay from AD to anesthetize via Isoflurine - intubated with 3.5 ET tube (was stable throughout but breathing rapidly and shallow). Was able to better manipulate luxation and pop the radius back into place and thought I got the ulna too but was having difficulty getting it to stay while placing a figure 8 wrap, repeated rads while waking up from anesthesia while wing was wrapped - both bones look in better position but swelling of elbow make it hard to determine if the placement is indeed correct. A: Juvenile tundra peregrine falcon (winter migrant) found in the city, unknown cause of trauma but suspect HBC. Sustained left elbow luxation of both radius and ulna with significant swelling, bruising, and edema over left elbow. Attempted to reset luxation but with swelling it is hard to tell if placement is correct and will likely need to try again after swelling has reduced. Has a pretty poor prognosis but going to give it a chance as the trauma is new and bird is in good body condition with no other injury.
P: Rx Meloxicam, gabapentin, terbinafine, pentoxifylline, TMS, Tramadol after 24hrs, fluids. Vet check tomorrow, collect blood and fecal. Laser therapy. If swelling decreased in elbow may anesthetize again and try to set luxation better and place new wrap. IOP study Friday. Monitor figure 8 wrap - only change if necessary
